Groupe Sport: investing in pickleball

During this lunch debate, come and chat with Jean-Pierre Berger , one of the main promoters of Pickleball in Ile-de-France and the Secretary General of Pickleball France, Jean-Paul Bagot .

They will introduce you to this "new" fun, friendly, intergenerational sport combining tennis, table tennis and badminton.

A trial session will then be offered to all those who wish to get started and/or participate in the creation of a Club worthy of the name in Ile-de-France!

Also for all those who would like to organize tournaments in a professional or friendly setting.

Jean-Pierre Berger is the president of Pickleball-Paris-Ouest. An EDHEC graduate, he began his career in international cosmetics at Pierre Fabre where he held a position as administrator of a joint venture with Shiseido, then in perfume at Rochas. He moved to Vancouver, Canada in 1998 with his wife and 2 children, where he retrained and created a CRM software distribution company that he managed for over 20 years. Also the inventor of a patented walking aid for people with reduced mobility, Jean-Pierre is an entrepreneur at heart. A tennis, squash, rugby and ski player, he discovered Pickleball during the Covid years and when he returned to France in 2022, he was surprised that he could not practice it due to a lack of structure in the Paris region. He created the Pickleball-Paris-Ouest association for the development of Pickleball in the west of Paris and joined forces with Pickleball France, where he became a member of the management committee.

Jean-Paul Bagot is Secretary General of Pickleball France. Trained as a physical education teacher, he practiced this profession in France and Canada. Moving towards the private sector, he held several management positions in sales and business development, working internationally from France and Canada. Following this experience, he created his own company in graphic communication project management, a company that he ran for more than twenty years before retiring in 2019. During his professional career, he was a member of the board of directors of several non-profit organizations, including the French Chamber of Commerce in Canada (Ontario). He discovered Pickleball in the summer of 2018. Having one foot on each side of the Atlantic, he saw this sport literally explode in North America. He therefore decided to devote himself to the promotion and development of Pickleball in France where this new sport is emerging.
